"Property is dated and the bare minimal was provide in terms of amenities (such as no basic seasoning (no salt or black pepper). One garbage bag to last 4 days for 8 guests."

"The property wasn’t clean , kitchen was cluttered fridge had a mouldy lemon in it , decoration ladder next to cooker paint tins cardboard in kitchen laundry basket had dirty trainers in it bathroom had mould on shower screen, I had to stay the first night as no where else to go but left at 6.30 the following morning would definitely not recommend and I wonder why it’s allowed to be on the website "

"Loved our stay! House was perfect for our entire family traveling together to Edinburgh. Close to train, host offered excellent restaurant recommendations, clean, spacious, beautiful gardens. Host communicated regularly and check-in was super easy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!"

"We were traveling as a family group of 8 and needed a place that could accommodate everyone, be affordable, safe, cozy and clean. This place was in a quiet neighborhood that had easy on street parking for both of our cars. The owners were easy to reach and very responsive. Excellent value for money, we would certainly stay here again. "

"The Paddock is stunning! Set in an almost silent cul-de-sac and surrounded by large, beautiful houses, this was the most impressive property we gave ever stayed in. It was very comfortably furnished with plenty of settees and chairs, four fully reclining and beanbags, to suit everyone. "Easy check in, clean and well kept accommodations. Friendly and inclusive staff. Nifty old building. Nice vibes throughout. Convenient location. I stayed in a private room so cannot speak for the dorms, however, our room was satisfactory, cool and comfy. I stayed only 1 quick night so wasn’t able to enjoy any activities besides sleeping, but they seem to have schedules of things going on in (or around?) the hostel. Would recommend if you want to stay close to the city centre and want to be around other travellers. You can choose between shared dorm rooms or private rooms. "
