"My partner and I spent three nights here for the festival, and it's a clean student accommodation. The good thing is the reception is 24 hours, and the room is clean. Also, it's a walking distance to the most sightseeing spots in Edinburgh. However, the twin bed is difficult for two adults even though I am small. I appreciated the restaurant and bar that was on the ground level. It was a nice place to relax and wait for our room to be ready. "The room was tiny, but lovely & clean. The window was fantastic, so large, looking into a courtyard so it was very quiet. The bed was a bunk, my daughter & I shared the room. "I have stayed at this hostel many times but always before with other people-= so it was especially great to have a room to myself - with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast was good and coffee was too .The last time i stayed the road outside was being converted for the tram lines-but now that the tram runs almost to the door from Waverley station and the airport it is excellent. "A great historical property which is not too far from the main roads. A converted church, so voices tend to carry. Great for solo travellers because you can get a room for one person. Bathrooms have all amenities, but could use a larger floor mat outside of shower, floors were a little slippery. Inside main quarters, beautiful stained glass and ceiling features. Front desk was very helpful. "

"The property was right at the bus stop, making it easy to get to the city center and elsewhere. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and communication with the host was frequent and clear. The kitchen had a stove and microwave but no toaster, frying pan, or spatula to turn foods. We made do with what was there. Overall, it was a good stay."
