"I made this booking primarily because of the creek in the back. We were spending some timein Gatlinburg on our honeymoon and I wanted to sleep somewhere that had a chance of meeting a Tennessee native brookie. The creek was real nice and full of fish activity when we arrived, I made a few casts but we needed to settle in and eat as it was nearly dark outside and we had traveled a long way to get there. It poured that night and the creek became very high and fast very quickly. We enjoyed our time at the cabin (love the hot tub with the creek view for waking up in the morning) but the conditions were poor enough that I didn’t get to do the fishing that I had hoped. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting the nearby attractions and are looking to stay outside of the hustle. "

"No need to over research and plan! The hosts sent suggestions for dining and activities - we felt like we were getting the support of a travel agent! When you stay somewhere new there is usually some trepidation wondering if the key code will work and what you’ll actually walk into - but not at Wine Down. All of the communication beforehand reassured us that they were well prepared hosts and we were just excited to get there.The cabin was cozy and comfy. The hot tub and bathrooms were impeccably clean. The location was close enough to town if you wanted to get out, but far enough away to still be able to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. The best part though, was the gorgeous creek splashing over the rocks right out the back door. Couldn’t be more ideal.If you are looking for a cabin in the Smokies, I spent hours searching for the for the perfect spot and Wine Down surpassed our expectations. "

"The pictures do not do this cabin justice! The pool is much bigger than pictures can possibly show! My husband & I, brought our three young adult children & three of their friends. The boys loved the movie theatre room & totally hogged it lol. I suggest bringing or going to the Croc outlet in nearby Sevierville, for shoes around the pool & hot tub, plus climbing the stairs from pool to hot tub. If your family uses a ton of ice like we all did, grab a bag at the close by gas stations or stores. Cosby is cozy, yet close to so many places & activities. Your hosts, Jamie & Dane, are there for your questions & concerns quickly & efficiently. I use a cane, so from a slightly handicapped perspective, this house was do-able…helped me get my steps in, too. We are manifesting a return visit, this place is all we wanted, plus so much more!"

"Small and pleasant log cabin in a less-travelled area about 40 minutes East of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Cabin was clean and organized when we arrived. Enjoyed 7 days of silence and nature during our stay. Saw a total 6 bears (not at the cabin, just during the trip)!"
