"Just returned to a two night stay at The Swan - our room was very comfortable with lovely furnishings and a great bath and shower (bath in room!). Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable on the area. "
"This was a very nice space. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower had awesome water pressure. The room was however, very warm so we had to open the window the tiny amount that it opens. Unfortunately, the street below is very busy and loud. This noise made it difficult for me to get any rest. "
"The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."
"Comfortable bed, clean room, and wonderful service. This gorgeous little hotel had everything I needed and most importantly dedicated staff who made my stay comfortable and welcoming. "

Swallows Barn, set on a working farm in foothills of the Peak District
8/10 Good
"This is a beautiful, well-equipped cottage with plenty of parking. It is on the A54 although our satnav chose to direct us along Church Road, a very narrow country lane which is best avoided. Head for the A54 instead. We were pleasantly surprised (although I may not have read the description properly) to find, in addition to the two ensuite bathrooms, there was also a downstairs toilet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can definitely recommend this property."
"A lovely spot in a countryside location. The cottage, on a working farm, was very clean and comfortable and offered everything needed for a short break. The location, to the side of the A54, was not without some traffic noise, but this was more than made up for by the ease of access to nearby market towns, the Peak District and Manchester itself. Farmhouse Cottage is somewhere we'd stay again."
"Lovely property with good parking. Nice outside spaces.
Check in was a breeze with friendly owners on the front desk to show me around the place and to my room.
Breakfast (as others have said) was fab with really nice quality food and really tasty coffee but the hot food is cooked to order so don't expect to walk in and just eat!
The bedroom was good, nice and clean with a comfy bed. My only downside would be that it could do with better blackout curtains as I was awake before the alarm!"
"Spacious and well equipped lodge in tranquil surroundings. Privacy was excellent especially for hot tub use. Robes provided which was ideal for hot tub. Kitchen fully equipped. Comfy sofa’s. WiFi and TV coverage was patchy but meant we were more inclined to Use our phones less which made for a proper relaxation. Would definitely stay there again. "
