Dinosaur Inn & Suites

"This older 1960s style property has the windows and door facing the outside walkways. None of the photos show this when booking which I found a bit deceiving. I usually choose inside hallway hotels for safety but Vernal is a safe city so we took a chance. I'm glad we did. The property was very clean and updated with rooms large enough and outfitted to be a small base-camp for families with children as they explore the Uinta Mtns, Dinosaur NM, etc. There's plenty of room for playpens, etc. The completely refinished rooms are really nice and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, exuding the small town charm and hospitality we all enjoy. The hot breakfast is simple and served by a staff member, most likely to contain costs. While a bit sparse on options, it is adequate to fill the tummy before launching on the day's adventures. Adding Tater Tots to the menu would be awesome! It was too cold to try the large pool but I imagine it is packed with families during the summer vacation season. The only real negative is the road noise from semi trucks traveling the street a few feet from the closest rooms. If you need a quieter stay, ask to be placed into the rooms at the back of the property. I usually pass on older style hotels because they feel and often look forgotten in time. The Dinousaur Inn breaks free of that image and offers a solid stay, especially during a family vacation. We will definitely stay her again the next time we travel through Vernal."

"I liked everything about this hotel. It was clean and quiet, the bed was comfy. We did not use the hot tub or pool, but it looked inviting. Breakfast was ready to go and there was a waffle iron. We felt really comfortable here. PS- the Mexican restaurant next door was great!"

"The room was very clean, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast wasn't awesome, but it got the job done. That and not having an ice machine on every floor (but only select floors) is the reason why it's not a perfect five all the way around. The front desk staff did retreive and hold stuff for me that I left in our room fridge, so that get's more than five starts."
