I’ve been in hospitality for 20 years and this is the definition of southern hospitality. Never truly knew what that meant until staying here. This place puts any 5star Vegas hotel to shame. "I highly recommend this place if you want to stay on Tybee Island. It is right in the middle of shopping and restaurants and only one block to the beach. The staff is super friendly and the room was very clean. Yes it is an older hotel, but it has been completely renovated, so it feels new. Parking was super easy. They even let us check in early because our room was ready. I thought we might be in for a noisy night since we were right on the strip by the restaurants but it actually ended up...

"What a beautidul hotel! I absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were very helpful and kind, giving us suggestions for a rainy morning in Savannah. The room was lovely and comfortable. If you have good weather, make sure to visit the outdoor pool--so relaxing after a day wandering around the squares in town. We also made use of the hotel car--a huge thank you to Frank and Allen, our wondeful, quick and friendly deivers during our stay! The rooftop bar was great for a bite, sip and a WHAT A VIEW! We also grabbed pre-dinner drinks at the lobby bar, which were equally delicious. I really can't sing their praises enough! I loved Savannah, and if I am ever back I will definitely be staying at The Thompson!"
