" The hotel is undergoing a MAJOR renovation and quite frankly management should seriously consider closing down until the work is finished. The workmen started around 8-8:30AM and it was a most uncomfortable stay. The location of the hotel is great. The experience was not great."

"1. You couldn't ask for better parking. Under the hotel parking. 2. Signage might need to be better directing guest to the reception desk. Several people asked how to get to it. Honestly the elevator and stairs were right there but I missed focusing in and realizing where to go at first glance or two. 3. Up to the first floor the desk was right there with a fun, cheery playful staff. A very unexpected and quite refreshing introduction to the light laidback atmosphere. 4. The hotel has the older time gone by character where the sounds carry down the hallways and into the rooms. Other than knowing when a few of our neighbors came and went was not a problem at all. 5. All the rooms are different so look through whats available and choose a deco that works for you. Our bedroom was red wall with white built in cabinets that im sure was added more recently but had the feel of the original room. The bathroom was definitely not of the original time period but was a grand master piece of art. Very large with a large walk in shower lots of beautiful tile, a huge mirror with high ceilings and wonderful lighting. 6. The location is an easy walk to the shops and restaurant area of town, including a Parkers convenient store if you need anything after normal shopping hours or items the local shops don't office. There is a store of spirits across the street from that if you need something a bit more specific. Beaches and golfing could be two things you may need your car for. Enjoy ur sta"

"Overall very good experience. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. Clean, comfortable room at a reasonable price. The breakfast is pretty basic and no real amenities (there is an outdoor pool) but for the price can’t beat it. "

"Pros: Check in staff was friendly. We checked in on a Wednesday around 9pm and checked out the next Thursday around 8:30 am. Hotel is new and is nice. Breakfast was decent- could have had more hot choices- but for a free hotel breakfast- it suffices. Cons: Lets talk about the train. After booking a non-refundable rate- I read up on some recent reviews and was made aware of the train that is VERY close to the back of the property. We were told by the check in staff that the train "doesn't make any noise- only vibrations". This is not true. The train is very loud and made multiple trips up and down the track during our 12 hour stay. If you need a good sleep- do not stay here. I will guess we heard the train at least 4 times overnight. This was my fault as I should have read the reviews before booking. Now let's discuss breakfast and the TV's all tuned to Fox News. Let's be real people- not all of us tune into this crap. It would have been nice to not have to listen to this junk while eating my bagel and drinking my coffee. Did I say anything? No- because I am not that person- but please- turn to the Weather Channel or HGTV. The room was clean- other than the sofa and ottoman. Lots of white residue? "

"The rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff was outstanding. They are just taking over this hotel and they’re doing an excellent job. I had a slight problem trying to figure out the TV. They came over to my room immediately and helped me resolve it and I had a nice quiet day, and my service dog was allowed. Will definitely stay again on my way back down to Florida."
