"Definitely a 5 star B&B. Lovely big room with terrace seating outside, overlooking the sheep and guinea fowl in the fields. Loads of parking. Very clean and well presented. The owners have pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and feel homely. Breakfast, with loads of choice, is cooked freshly to order in the area that serves as a bistro on several evenings in the week. "A great stay at The George. A warm welcome, great comfy family room and wonderful breakfast."

"Second stay at this hotel and room was very clean with a large bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good but coffee could have been hotter. Bar area was good with plenty of choice of drinks. Located in a nice quiet and secluded venue and ideal for visiting York and surrounding area."

"Alles perfekt und sehr schönes Zimmer."

"Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location."

"Lovely guesthouse, Mark was lovely and accommodating, if you needed to know anything about the area then ask him.. breakfast was lovely staff were friendly.. would definitely stay again and recommend.."

"Very traditional and pretty inn in the heart of Pickering. Perfect location to explore the moors, and the heritage railway station is just down the street. The food in the restaurant is really good, as is breakfast."

The room we stayed in was immaculate aswell and to top it all off, breakfast was absolutely superb! It's a 10/10 from both of us, we would highly recommend and we do plan on coming back in the future. Thank you so much"
