"We spent a one night stay at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and immediately wished it was for longer...The reception staff were exceptionally welcoming, indeed all staff were friendly and helpful. Fortunately, the Lake View resturant was open for dinner during our stay; the food was delightful, well presented and perfectly proportioned. The spa was lovely, especially, the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the gardens; which seemed a big hit with all of the guests...Overall we had a wonderful, restful stay and...

"Staff are absolutely wonderful màking you genuinely feel very welcome. Very knowledgable about the area too. The room was clean comfortable and well decorated as was the rest of the facilities. Loads of local art work on display which is also for sale. Food was awesome and menu choices were varied plus specials on offer daily. Dog friendly too what more could anyone want oh and did I mention the stunning scenery."

"Amazing stay at a beautiful property. Just off the Coast to Coast walk, this hotel was a perfect place to recover from a long walk. And the all-day tea/coffee and scones was a lifesaver. The rooms were nice and the food was delicious. Could not recommend more. They even had a place to fill up water bottles/bladders next to a gear drying room, which was a nice touch. "

When we showed reception picture of room which was booked they changed room to room on picture immediately. It was mentioned that it should not have been advertised as a superior room. Hotel was perfect for a warm , quiet welcome after a day walking. Staff were fantastic. "

"Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Stayed here to go to scafell pike which was around 25 minutes drive away. Also a beach around 10 minutes drive away. Hotel has a large car park, great outdoor space to sit as well. Only down side was we went to pool room and it was locked, got the staff to open it and got change for the table from the bar. Just as we were going to start playing noticed one cue was broken in half and the other the tip was missing. Dart board not in the best condition....
