"It was fantastic to stay in such a beautiful old home. The rokms are bright in the moring due to not having blinds, but i assume that is in keeping with the historic nafire of the house. It is still well worth staying in this place!"

"Wonderful stay in a traditional machiya. Stayed in Samurai room with terrace which was perfect to relax in after long day. Our highlight was omakase dinner with the best sushi we've ever had! Western style breakfast was delicious and not too heavy. Took chef’s advice to take evening walk to see Miyajima at night and it was perfect to see the torii gate and shrine at night without the crowds. "The breakfast was very good. The room was bigger than expected though still on the smaller side. The service provided was excellent. The biggest issue was the parking - the parking lot at the back of the hotel was under renovation so I had to park at a lot that was a ten minutes’ walk away. The area was full of nightlife activities so I felt a little unsafe walking to the hotel from the car park late at night due to all the drunk people on the streets."

"Great location right at the train station - perfect for getting around. We were able to check our bags for free in the morning, spend the day out touring, then grab our bags and hop on a train to the next city that evening. Super easy. We also paid for the lounge access - which includes tea time drinks/snacks, evening snacks and alcoholic beverages, and a special breakfast - all in a room with a nice view of the city. Only downside was the small gym with only 4 machines, nothing else - but that probably reflects clientele preferences (or lack thereof) more than anything. All else was 5-star."
