I stayed in a King suite which was very comfortable and had a long balcony accessible from both the bedroom and the second room. "I had an amazing stay at Hotel Plaza De Armas Old San Juan in Puerto Rico! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Old San Juan and close to everything. "The staff was great, and the hotel is in a great location. I arrived at 4:30 PM, went out to buy some stuff, and then went to eat. When I came back around 9 PM, there was no power, and I had to pay more money for another hotel. I only used the room for an hour. There is no refund if the power goes out, even if you didn’t use the room. Hotels should be prepared for power outages with a generator or backup power system."

"Really nice room in the heart of old San Juan. The check in process is pretty choppy without there being someone actually checking you in, no flexibility on the 4pm check in which is pretty late. Also employees were really loud outside in the common areas at like 6:30-7am which woke me up and likely others. 10am checkout is a bit too early as well. For the price though it’s definitely good, would stay here again but request early check in and late check out"

"Nice hotel about 20 mins walking from all the old San Juan. The staff were nice too. The room was spacious and cold. It was on the second floor and we had a small outdoor patio with chairs I think that was neat. The room has a small kitchen area if your going to stay longer and a couch and a queen bed."

It is a historic building so there is dampness/moisture scents however, with the air conditioner it was fine. The location is amazing and the room was very quiet at night.
