"Beautiful location. Close to La Fortuna Waterfall. Friendly staff. Great breakfast included. We stayed in a room for 6 people. Had our own private pool. The water in the pool was quite cold but my boys loved it. "

"The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff is very courteous and the premises are gorgeous. It’s nice to have a volcanic water pool even though in my opinion it should not be so hot. Both my girlfriend and I got a little dizzy after a while. I do recommend staying there though. The breakfast is fantastic! Location as well."

"Birding is spectacular. The grounds and trails are amazing. So many plants and animals. Beautiful views. Rooms are basic but clean. Food at the restaurant for dinner is average but service was consistently great. Breakfast was better. Overall service was excellent."

"We enjoyed our time here. It’s a beautifully kept property with a great view of tropical plants and many birds from the weather protected porch. Most of our stay was very quiet- because nobody was in the adjoining units. We did hear one neighbor’s conversation one night in the next unit when that was occupied. We heard 14 different (verified by app) bird songs in ten minutes one morning. Staff was helpful. The room was nicely equipped and clean. The bed could be softer but we still slept OK. The jacuzzi worked well and the shower had plenty of hot water. Issues: the listing on hotels.com said that laundry facilities were available. Two different employees confirmed that they aren’t. Also, the in-room coffee maker had a dead moth in the water tank and didn’t work well before or after it was rinsed out. Out of clean clothes, we were directed to drive to a local laundry service. That cost us a whopping $22 USD for one grocery bag full of clothes (about 9 pounds) - laundry services aren’t cheap around there. Hotels.com made things right, to their credit. Overall, still a nice place to stay in a nice natural setting. We would happily stay here again. "

"I appreciate the staff holding our reservations as we experienced flight delays due to inclement weather. Security checked us in after hours very quickly and had keys ready to escort us to our rooms. Very clean, really good door seals to keep humidity out and efficient AC. THANK YOU!"
