"The place is welcoming and makes you feel at home. Amenities are fine, speedy WiFi, warm water. Buy your food in the small pulperias and have a chat with the local people, there is no supermarket in Catarina. I would easily spend a couple of weeks there. "Laguna de Apoyo is truly a paradise location. Birds and sometimes monkeys and iguanas coming close.The next door hotel is not functioning, so the place is quite calm.Swimming in the Laguna is a incredible treat!Unfortunately 'La Giralda' really needs investment and renovation.The air conditioning is so noisy that it is impossible to use.
