It was sadly too cold in early May for the pool, but we spent a lot of time on the patio and by the pool reading, eating, drinking wine and marveling at the sunsets. I highly recommend that you ask the hosts for local restaurant recommendations! One of their recommendations was the best meal we had during our two weeks in Italy. "The apartment was well renovated and comfortable. It was a convenient location for sightseeing in the region, as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Chianti are all easily accessible. However, my husband and I were disappointed to find that there were many apartments on the farm, not just three, with another part of the property divided by a low wall. The apartment is rustic, as pictured, but could use a deep cleaning.The 500 cypress tree lined road winding up to the property only adds to the adventure. "Nice quiet spot in the woods but very close to San Gimignano. Very clean. Comfortable beds. They don’t provide towels or soaps, but that is clear up front. You can rent towels if you want and they sell soap/ shampoo in the office. "
