"This is our go hotel when we visit Carmel. It is far enough away from the busy streets, but close enough to all the shops and restaurants. The grounds are very well kept and very Zen for a peaceful time. They are pet friendly so this is a plus for us, we highly recommend the Tradewinds hotel. Oh, did I mention the breakfast every morning, that is a special treat?"

"Pros: Great location - short walk to Ocean Avenue; Parking available if you choose it; Everyday housekeeping available; Comfy bed & decent room size Cons: Shower stall was very tight; No AC which was not critical for us as we went in October; Front desk is not welcoming."

"Spectacular cliffside property. Absolutely AMAZING views. The property is incredibly landscaped. Staff are excellent and helpful. for seniors and disabled persons it is a CHALLENGE to walk to property due to Many steps and steep inclines between the main building/lobby/restaurant and rooms and parking. That’s the only complaint. Rooms are very nicely done and the bed was excellent. Also…the One ice machine on property was broken. Would stay again but would ask for a room easier to walk."

"We had two rooms and one guest found it a bit noisy at night. About 1km from shops (2km from beach). Bed was comfy but room a bit dark. Basic but pleasant. WiFi patchy."
