We always stay here whenever we visit Carmel. Very charming rooms which were recently renovated. It is one of the few pet friendly options in Carmel and is close to the main street in downtown. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and always willing to please.

I found this cute motel for its super convenient location and walkable to everything. The beds are SO comfy! The room could use some cosmetic updates but for a nice place to sleep it worked well for us and our dog. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the courtyard. It’s a quiet,small town so there weren’t any noise issues. Parking is all around and there are a few spots in their lot but we found parking next to our door and never moved the car til we left. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back :)

We've been staying at the Carmel Wayfarer for years now. I love how dog friendly it is, and I also love the location. It is just a bit away from the really busy part of town and it's a very nice walk downhill to the beach, weaving through the neighborhood and ending up at a path through the dunes that leads to a few flights of stairs down. It's harder going back up, of course, but I just love where it deposits you on the beach. The price is right and I love the upgrades they've made so it's no longer wall-to-wall carpet which gets kind of gross in a beach town. Love the Wayfarer! I can't afford it during the peak times, but find it affordable at other times.

Room was spacious and smelt clean. It was very warm in Carmel and we were wondering if we had children the other bedroom had no fans and it was stinking hot in that bedroom and in the bathroom. The air-conditioning didn't reach that room. Staff were very helpful and hotel is conveniently situated.

Very convenient location and it’s super easy to walk downtown. There’s shopping and plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel isn’t fancy, but it’s cute and comfortable. It’s spacious enough and is pet friendly. We’ve stayed several times and have always had a nice time here.
