Payne Lake Wilderness Huts - Grizzly Basin

10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautiful and private little cabin. There is a bathroom in the unit with a toilet and a nice clean and private shower in a building just a few steps away. The kitchen had everything we needed including a keurig with coffee and tea, an air fryer, hot plates, a bbq on the deck, and a mini fridge/ freezer. There is an air conditioner unit and fan upstairs which kept the cabin cool at night. It’s just a short walk to the lake."

Payne Lake Wilderness Huts - Hotel Unit

8/10 Good
"We stayed in the downstairs hotel unit. As others have stated, this is a small room and you can hear the people in the upstairs unit. The room served our needs for three nights while we visited Waterton Park. As someone else mentioned, the shower is very slippery with or without soap. Also, the smoke detector was missing from it's outlet, likely illegal. If you need a basic room with no frills, this will suit your needs, but the cabins on the property are likely better for a couple who want a peaceful and relaxing stay."
