This is a unique property. Accommodations were in the carriage house which was run down. Typical amenities like soap, shampoo, hairdryer, dish soap were missing. Furnishings were tired and could use a good cleaning. However, the Mansion where the owner lived and served breakfast was stunning. Breakfast was cooked to order and served to us. The mansion was built by the owner who had amazing skills in woodworking, carpentry wood finishing, and stain glass light fixtures. He had been involved in wood finishing work if the Latter Day Saint Cardston Temple and the Prince of Wales Hotel in the area. Exquisite handicraft. The B & B owner knew much about the history of the Manor and by loved to share its unique story of the recluse who built it with cobblestones from the creek. The history of the manor is a good reason to stay and redeemed my impression of the place and made me glad I chose to stay there. Make sure to bring some soap!
