"This is a really lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Fowey with a beautiful terrace overlooking the river and Town Quay. We spent hours on this terrace whiling away the heat enjoying a drink. The rooms are very nice and well appointed. We had a deluxe room which had a small terrace with river views. With only 14 rooms it feels very special and up market, but is reasonably priced. "Agree entirely with a previous review. Not an hotel, just a B&B with bar and a very limited menu. The proprietess wanted to talk at us. The son, considerably older than 21, came up to us in the bar and said his mother would be with us soon to serve us drinks. Clearly he was not authorized to. Why? So we waited another 5 --10 mins for her to appear. No hot water in room - neither shower nor wash basin. "There are two Plume of Feathers in Cornwall. If you search for the one in Portscatho on Google this one is likely to show up and I made the mistake in booking it. When I contacted them once I had realised my error they said it was not up to them to refund but Expedia - who I contacted. They were helpful and sympathetic - but they said it was actually at the discretion of the host who they contacted on my behalf but they declined my request. I again contacted the PoF to ask them to reconsider...

"An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months"

"We had a lovely stay there with our family. The cottage we stayed in had all amenities and plenty of space. The cottage didn’t have AC but there was a fan and the staff was accommodating when we asked for a second one. The pool and facilities were well maintained and clean. The restaurant was okay for something on site. Beautiful location by the river. Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay."

"Very comfortable room, nice clean bathroom. The walls are a bit thin though so we could hear other neighbours, although everyone was asleep at night so no problem to sleep at all. The location of the hotel is great, it is a bit out of the town, in the middle of the valley. The garden is amazing and you can walk to the well a bit far down and to the town itself. The breakfast was very generous and varied."
