"I didnt know what to expect when I booked it. Arrival was by bus from the airport to the harbour and boat to the island. The harbour is not easy to maneuvere, and not advisable for anyone with mobility issues. There are 16 cottages and they are small but lovely, mine [number 1] was right on the beach. The staff and boatmen are lovely and nothing is a problem to them, including arranging excursions for you. Food is good and pool area great. Thank you for a wonderful peaceful week."

"Chindonan is located in a remote place and I had no problem getting there after being picked up at the port from the ferry - 45 minute speedboat ride. I came here for the diving and it did not disappoint. The food at the restaurant was tasty and offered a variety, including for vegetarians. All units require many steps to get there so it’s not for those who don’t want or cannot walk distances and stairs. "

"We stayed three nights are El Rio Y Mar Resort and wish we could have stayed a week. This resort is hands down the best resort we have stayed at in the Philippines. It's very secluded from the hustle and bustle of Coron yet close enough that you can still do the island hopping tours and excursions. The staff were exceptional from the time you arrive to the time you depart. The food at the ONLY restaurant was absolutely delicious. We were a bit nervous about there only being one restaurant...

I booked two rooms, same size and same date but was charged double for one of the rooms... on day 4 of our stay came back to room to get key and no key at front desk. Spare key found by staff who opened door and found cleaning staff sleeping soundly on my bed...not a joke joke but funny anyway ..."

"I like that this property is located just outside the chaos of town. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. Air conditioning worked wonderfully in our room. The free breakfast was a nice touch, albeit quite basic. The wifi, which was only available in the lobby, was basically non-existent. The shower had very little hot water. The room had a little bit of a run down vibe, but it was very spacious."
