"We booked this cottage some months ago for a trip to Silverstone. Having received no information about check in by the day before our booking, I sent a message but got no reply. Despite sending further messages via the hotels.com app, we had no idea how to get a key for the property. On arrival, there was no one there. We rang the helpline and were transferred to someone in USA who didn’t seem to understand our situation and offered a full refund. By chance, we discovered a key outside the...

"I was very sceptical booking a days inn.. I was pleasantly surprised. Had everything we needed ..hotel was quiet, staff were pleasant. Beds were comfortable. Certainly will be booking again on our future travels"

"Lovely spacious suite, lovely grounds. Very clean spaces, friendly staff and very tasty breakfast. Would definitely stay again."

"Check in was great, polite and efficient. The room was OK. Breakfast Saturday was ok but below the normal standard of a Holiday Inn Express. Sunday the breakfast and service was dreadful. Saturday morning we had no teaspoons but Sunday, there were no plates, no knives or forks. The sausages were anemic, completely undercooked, there were no hash browns, no beans, no scrambled egg. The tables weren't being cleared, when the plates did eventually turn up after a long wait we then find that...

"Air conditioning was very noisy."

"Martha was a lovely, attentive host. Hedley Villa Guest House is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Free parking available directly outside. We had a lovely stay."

"This hotel is fronted by an attractive historic building that creates an impressive first impression both externally and in reception. Staff were pleasant throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel failed to live up to that impression. Much of the newer accommodation feels dated, signage is confusing and poor, lift access difficult to find and the temperature was somehow both too hot and too cold on an autumn day. Hotel parking is available, but access is through an exceptionally...

"Good clean hotel with very helpful staff"

"A lovely place to stay to explore the Cotswolds. Very well furnished rooms and very helpful staff. Nice country pub with excellent food."

"We only crashed here for one night but very efficient check-in, plenty of parking, room was absolutely fine, what you would expect from 4* conference hotel. Buffet breakfast was very good in a relatively plush restaurant."

"The room was big enough with enough hanging and drawer space. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. Everything was immaculately clean. Our room was at the back so it was very quiet The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We could not have asked anything more of this hotel."

"Location was great. We enjoyed our stay very much. Loved the peacocks and peahens."

"Great to have so many activities for kids. Very comfortable. Calm and relaxing. Only down side was that there were no hair conditioners in the bathroom, just shower gel which doubled as a shampoo. However, so many other perks for amenities in the room. Free Walkers biscuits, nice quality tea and coffee, free water bottles, that were all restocked daily."
