"Spend 1 night here. Smallish room with a double bed. For me, the rooms are not sound proof. When someone next door was in the bathrooms, you could hear the water running/shower/sink. Also doors banged loudly. Cleanliness not 100%. The remote control was dirty, looks like it is never cleaned with a hygiene wipe. Same as the light switches, you could see all the grime from dirty hands. I sent a couple of messages to the hotel direct through Expedia and they never replied. I...

"The biggest bugbear was the remote control in my room. Although the rest of the room was clean, the remote was not. As well as being dusty, the grime between the numbers/keys was disgustingly dirty. I only used the remote twice to switch on and off and washed my hands immediately after."

"Great location near public transport. Friendly/helpful staff. My only problem was the bath was quite deep and hard to get in/out of for showering; an age thing but something that others need to be aware of. Other than that niggle, would not hesitate to return."

"The staff are fantastic. I notified a member of the bar staff that we had a booking and he got me checked in immediately, sorted our keys out for us and showed me the room. He gave me good detail about the hotel and the fire exits, door keys etc. The rooms are separated from the pub by a locked door that you're given a key for. This is very reassuring and secure. "Worse experience ever. Check-in was meant to be 5pm but I wasn’t given access until around 8:30pm due to their own failure to provide entry details, despite repeated attempts to contact them. When I finally got in, the room was clearly used and filthy with towels on the floor and with rubbish left behind. I then had to wait even longer to be moved to a different room. "Room was clean and functional. Bathroom was great. Good selection for breakfast. Really liked the fresh coffee idea, but feel like there should be more coffee stations. When I wake up I like to have a coffee and didn’t feel like I could wander down through reception and the breakfast area to get one in my pyjamas.
