"Front desk staff were good. We opted for no housekeeping but realized we needed more milk, face cloths (none there from start), white sugar, tea & coffee. No phone number to contact front staff, only a QR code. So I texted them via the QR code. No answer/response. "We’ve stayed at the Old Ship several times, as it tends to be the best value for money. We love the central sea front location (and are prepared to put up with a bit of city noise… the complimentary ear plugs are a nice touch), sea views are well worth paying a bit extra for, and we even enjoy the 100 year old lift …. on the occasional time it arrives before we opt for the stairs instead (it is described optimistically as ‘a bit slow’). Very pleasant staff too. Looking forward to our next stay. "
