"Good breakfast choices and a nice area to sit. Attended a wedding in the tower which was great. Food really good, attentive staff the day went really smoothly. "

"I really enjoyed my stay, we book for a 4am drive to Gatwick. The staff were lovely, no lift so don’t bring a heavy case (although one of the porters took it up the stairs for us). Sitting out in the grounds was beautiful. We had an evening meal, which was outstanding Traditional manor, no air con, fan in the rooms but that was enough for us."

"Booked family room for 5 guests at a great price... can't grumble for what i paid, it was a place to rest for a night. The main bed was comfy, the other 2 beds were not so great but not awful. Clean bedding. Didn't have a remote for the TV but reception gave us one. Heating in the bathroom was on in scorching weather but reception sorted that too. The room had a bit of a funky smell and a bit of mould but nothing drastic Extremely annoying that I paid for breakfast for 5 people and got told they dont serve breakfast... when I asked for a refund I got told to go via hotels.com who I used to book and have been completely ignored by them. No refund for breakfast which I must partly blame the hotel for allowing it to be an option, despite not booking directly. Im sure they could have helped. Overall, its a place to rest, if its a good price its okay... if you want high end, this is not it. And dont pre pay for any food!!"

"Wonderful building and gardens, with nice and quiet surroundings. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We didn't use the more formal restaurant but the bar provided good dining options. Breakfast was good too and the restaurant looks amazing. A very enjoyable stay, we will definitely come back again if we get the chance"
