"We really enjoyed our stay in this authentic farmhouse. The decorations and woodwork were amazing. Comfortable beds and, despite being an older home, all the modern conveniences. The location is in a beautiful community and we loved our walks through the town. A bit of a language barrier for us with the gentleman living there (we, unfortunately, do not speak French or German), however, there was prompt and excellent communication with the owner. "We first stayed here as the Bella Lui Hotel but it is now run by a youth hostel organisation. It has lost the charm of the private hotel and is now, because it is a hostel, more functional. The period furniture and ornaments have been replaced by standard facilities. "We absolutely loved our stay here. As Americans visiting Switzerland for the first time, this property was super unique to us. We had incredible service and felt so welcomed. Just note that there is no TV in the room (who needs it with views like that) and the walk up to the hotel is pretty steep. If we ever come back to this area we will for sure stay here again. "

They don’t tell you if you get late you are to be locked out of the parking,one night we were able to get in with a card they gave us, next night they didn’t have the card and we had to park somewhere else that at the end was cheaper. "For a basic hotel, very good. No AC (but they never said there was, so that's OK). What I liked is that it was very quiet outside our room, so having the windows open on a hot night wasn't a problem. And in contrast to many hotels, while they had a duvet on the bed, they also provided a very light blanket, so it wasn't an all or nothing covering situation. And they had extra pillows. "Parking is available for off-season, however I can only assume parking is a nightmare during high season. Beds are European twins, so small, don't expect larger. The room are heated, almost too well but you can really enjoy the fresh air by opening windows and balcony. The view is worth every cent."
