Chancellor Hotel on Union Square
10/10 Excellent
"It is a charming hotel adjacent to Union Square in a central location. There are plenty of places for shopping and eating. While the rooms are small, the room was clean and well kept and they make the most use of the space. Unique features of my room was a ceiling fan and a soaking tub. A sign in the room offered different types of pillows and other amenities upon request. The lobby features cookies, popcorn, fruit infused water, and a coffee/tea station, which was appreciated. While I only stayed overnight and was looking for a nice, but inexpensive hotel to stay near a BART station, I had the thought that it would be a good location if I was a visiting as a San Francisco tourist."

The Marker Union Square San Francisco
10/10 Excellent
"The location is fantastic, right on the corner of the light rail, so you really don’t have to go far at all. You can easily walk around the area and explore the nearby streets. The hotel is a bit older, but the lobby is very nice and welcoming. I would have really appreciated it if they had honored my drink voucher before 4 p.m. since I was away from 4–6 p.m. lol! 😂 However, they did provide two bottles of wine for our stay across two rooms, which was a nice touch. They also accommodated an early check-in at no extra charge, which I greatly appreciated. One thing to keep in mind is that valet parking can take a little while, so I recommend calling ahead to give them a heads-up. The valet service before 2 p.m. was a bit slow, but Mohammed was very nice, helpful, and handsome! 😊 Overall, a great location, a lovely lobby, and some thoughtful touches that made our stay enjoyable. HOTEL LOBBY IS GREAT although hotel can some room /carpet renovation."
Claremont Resort & Club
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel is great. All was fine.. besides one thing and it’s the pool. We did expect crowds on Sunday and we also expected no crowds on Monday. And indeed Sunday was overcrowded with a sign that they can’t accept guests of members. Monday pool was not crowded at all. What made the whole experience terrible is unsupervised teens and preteens behaving awfully. They climbed on top of each other screaming on top of their lungs, wild games with splashing that made it impossible to use pool peacefully. There were no adults visibly present and they just did what they wanted. Pool guard said nothing the whole time until I lost my patience and asked him if he is going to stop this. When he adressed all became immediately quiet ."
Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf

"The facility was great, the staff was very courteous and great to be around. The breakfast was very good. The gas fires outside were terrific. Great location, close to so much activities. We did not have anything we were not happy with,"
