"Though it is obvious that money is tight and some maintenance and ambiance needs have been put on hold, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant. It was a much lower price than other places to stay, and I enjoyed my time there."

"Room was big and comfortable. The bed was amazing for a great night sleep. The staff were friendly and courteous. Cleaning was good but housekeeping should clean and map the bathroom daily no matter how many days the guess is staying and make sure that towels and toilet paper is provided daily as well. Overall it was a nice place and I'm planning to go back."

"Pulling in on a small farmhouse to the back of the property right on the Rappahannock River with a great waterfront view. Every morning I would wake up to the sunrise and it was beautiful and the smell of the ocean in the air."

"We stayed from Friday to Monday. We did not have any service to the room. We asked a lady that was cleaning other rooms for more coffee and shampoo (empty container at the shower) amd she said it was not her room in her list. So, no towels, shampoo or coffee. Very disappointing. Other than that, it is a OK hotel."

"The location is fantastic but we had a little bit of difficulty finding it in the dark. Google Maps took us to the wrong house, but Apple Maps got us there just fine. The view is amazing and we enjoyed getting in the water. The outdoor shower is a plus and the house was comfortable. Remember to bring towels and bed linens and memorize the door code- we locked ourselves out! Great recommendations from the owner about restaurants and things to do. We also really appreciated that we could bring our dog with us. Thank you!"

"Our week stay was so relaxing and fun. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets, views from the deck (it's my new 'happy place'!), the wildlife - ospreys, eagles, and the dolphins in the mornings. The games and things to do were also incredibly fun. The place was very clean, as well as beautifully decorated. Loved the towels too! I would highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing non-hectic vacation on the water!Thank you, Monica, for providing us access to your home-away-from-home! 3"

"Overall the property was very nice. But the cabin we stayed in had very small ants running around. Some of the staff was new and didn’t know some of the details, which is ok but you need to be patient."
