They appear out of the bush after a short walk down into the gully in the Aire Valley near Beech Forest. The Aire Valley is a mixture of native old growth forest and plantation timber for the nearby sawmills.

An overcast afternoon provided perfect conditions for the hike to the falls as well as stunning filtered light for the scene. Watch out though, the rocks are so slippery!! I almost went over many times with the camera gear!
