"The property was lovely, and clean. A great location with good amenities. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor which was a bit tricky for us staying with young kids and not mentioned in the information, and the on street parking availability on the street mentioned nearby was really limited, but we travelled on a very busy school holiday weekend. We have stayed at lots of homes as an extended family group and this was great, with a good location. Only criticism would be that 9:30am is the...

"Amazing little village no need to even leave if you don’t want too. So many lovely walks surrounding it. "

"Had a great long weekend at the property. Had loads of stuff there to use the kitchen to its full potential. Was lovely and warm and everyone had plenty of space in the accommodation. We were able to celebrate Christmas with my mum who is going to Guatemala next month and won’t be there. A few tiny tweaks will make this a perfect let but already great as it is."

"We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended!"

"Fantastic House. The pictures did not do it justice. It was way bigger than I was expecting. We had a family reunion with 17 adults and three children. There was plenty of room and different places for people to go to be alone if they wanted. The kids loved the games room and had so much fun. Would highly recommend it and we will definitely be visiting again."

"Crook farm is a great base for a multi generational group (plus dogs) - so much to recommend it. Location - being able to walk up the Old Man from the house was amazing; a large, enclosed garden for the dogs - and younger members of the group to explore; and the house itself - comfortable, spacious and full of character. "A beautifully decorated house, with everything you could need provided. Information from the owners was excellent, with plenty of local recommendations for activities and eating out. Well located in the heart of Coniston, with lovely views of the fells."

"Beautiful cottage, with everything you need. High standard of decor, comfy beds and great hot tub. Good location for exploring. Nice cafe and 2 pubs in walking distance and lovely walk around the whole of Ennerdale lake."
