"We met our host, Angela, at a restaurant next to the apartment for check-in. Communication was excellent -she asked us to text her when we were leaving the airport and was waiting when we arrived. Angela was such a sweetheart. She showed us around the apartment and provided some suggestions for dining and activities. The apartment was clean and modern and located in the upscale Nine Elms district right next to the US Embassy. We felt completely safe in this location and wouldn't hesitate to stay in the same apartment if we visited again. The Nine Elms subway "tube" station is only a couple minutes walk away and is the cleanest station I've ever seen. In addition, there are 2 grocery stores within a few minutes walk where you can get anything you need. I highly preferred staying in this area and taking short subway rides into the city to see sites and attractions. Be sure to check that there are washcloths and body wash at check-in since we did have an issue with housekeeping forgetting to provide them. No big deal as we purchased at the grocery store and Angela was very apologetic. And be aware if you use the washer/dryer that it does not operate like units in the US. There is no way to end the cycle early to get your clothes out and no timed dry setting. Not even unplugging the unit will open the door. Perhaps an instruction manual or directions could be provided. Highly recommended. Book and you won't be disappointed."

"We loved staying at Nancy’s beautiful treasure of a flat. It was like a museum, in all the best ways. Perfectly furnished and extremely comfortable with everything you would need, the flat is in a historic building that formerly housed an orphanage and school. The flat is in the turret of the building, with high beamed ceilings and stone facades. It is full of memorabilia from a life lived in the Middle East; you could spend all day exploring the art, rugs, and books. You can easily walk to the bus to Vauxhall or take a bit of a longer walk to take the train three stops to Victoria. Or you could explore Wandsworth and Claph shops, restaurants, and pubs. Nancy was a fantastic host, even waiting to greet us when we arrived late at 12:45 AM. She communicated easily with us and left us all kinds of recommendations for attractions and dining. Honestly, we could not have had a better experience and cannot recommend her flat highly enough!"

"The property was just as listed. It was very comfortable to stay in and David was a gracious host. The flat is close to bus stops going to almost all destinations in London. One quick note buy your bus pass (oyster card) on line before you go to London. I wood recommend this listing to anyone visiting London. The are some first class restaurants within a 5 minute walk."
