"This hotel is quite easy walking distance into the main "old" part of town ... Bath Abbey, Roman Baths, River Avon, multiple churches, tons of restaurants. We loved our spacious room with a gorgeous high ceiling and updated bathroom. It felt like pure luxury after our cramped stay in London. "Absolutely lovely stay as a solo traveller. Has all the charm and feel of Bath I was so surprised when I turned the corner and saw the street of gorgeous Georgian townhomes I would be staying on. Location was perfect - walkable to everything and super convenient to be able to come back before dinner and not lose any time. My room had a stunning view of the town on the top floor."

"A very beautiful and unique hotel in a spectacular area just away from the tourist drag of Bath city center. The hotel has alot of character and period decor. Its an old hotel, so the heating was nit on, understandibly so as it was May. The plumbing is also not updated, so there is a hot tap and a cold tap at the sink. The facilities are adequate for a shorter stay.
The hotel is being upgraded, so there was alot of noise above us for our 2 night stay.
The staff are friendly and helpful."

"Loved the character and position only a very short walk into Bath. Unfortunately during our stay was a heatwave so the four flight's of stairs were sometimes a bit much. Saw lots of places in Bath and on our last day, out of our window, hot air balloons went past to.us. Magical"

"The place was great but we just happened to go during a historical heat wave and there was no AC ! The staff were super helpful and gave us a Dyson fan but the heat was unbearable at times . The place is nice and very close to all attractions. The room was cozy and comfortable .
We would have eaten there but instead looked for dining places that had AC so we could cool off !"

"I loved this hotel for the beauty of my room, the proximity to every thing and the staff was super nice … the only downside was it was hot in the room and the a/c was a gently whisper that didn’t cool the 80* heat. Otherwise, A+"

"The location was perfect! Very quiet and close enough to walk into the center of town. Close to Sydney gardens and the Art museum which we loved.
The kitchen had everything that you could need and the outdoor space was so nice to have since we were there for some very warm weather!
We would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel has a very much a 5-star feel, reminiscent of something out of Downton Abbey. The building and public areas are grand, and the complimentary Elemis toiletries were a nice touch.
Unfortunately, my room had several issues. The toilet seat appeared to be broken, and the bathroom layout was poorly designed. The bidet was positioned extremely close to the sink, making it easy for personal items to fall into it. The sink tap was also awkwardly placed, making it difficult to comfortably wash...

"Very very difficult to get up to our room because of the multi levels of stairs but more importantly copious copious doorways that had to be unlocked to go through to next section. Bathroom could do with a very deep clean.
