"Not bad at all for the price, and the room was mostly nice, but the bathroom towels had hair on them, and there was mold in the shower head and on floor. Staff were very friendly, but I would not stay here again."

Econo Lodge Darien Lakes

"This was my first time staying at this hotel and prior to this stay I haven't stayed at an Econolodge for at least a decade. I chose this hotel as it was closest to Six Flags, besides their lodge, as other hotels were at least 10-15 minutes further from the park. The price was great, it was a good value, I arrived around 8:30pm, after a downpour chased me out of the park before it closed at 9pm. Check in was fairly quick and staff were fairly friendly. I was given room 222, on the top floor, and there are no elevators. Bottom floor are pet friendly rooms. The hotel lacks amenities, there is no breakfast or pool, and only thing I saw was a coffee area in the morning. The room was decent, all the lighting has a yellow tint, AC was indicating the filter needed to be cleaned, and USB plugs did not work/were broken. The room was relatively clean, no bugs, TV worked well, the king bed was relatively comfortable but only had 3 pillows, and I was facing the main road and could hear traffic noise. Bathroom had some issues, I had to fix/straighten the shower rod as the curtain kept opening on both sides creating puddles on the floor. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were both basically empty, the shower head was odd and only had a rather aggressive setting, and towels were basic. When I first used the toilet, the water was yellow/brown, I though it had urine or wasn't flushed, but the water at this hotel is discolored and that was unsettling and fairly gross."

2/10 Terrible

"Showed up at 11:30pm only to find out they gave our room away with 2 queens. Forced us to take a room with 1 king when we had 3 people. We then unpacked and by then it was midnight. Next the front desk person and the manager knocked on our door at midnight and told us we had to leave the hotel as they made another error and that this room belonged to someone else. They next said they would refund my money within 72hrs and here we are 7 days later no REFUND. Stay away from this location"

"The staff are excellent! Very helpful and considerate. Location is perfect! Right off the Thruway and close to shopping and restaurants. Its my go to place when staying in Batavia!"

"Clean room and comfortable beds. Space is spacious for the Queen room."

"The bed's are rock hard. Bought a foam topper at Walmart otherwise we would have had to find a different motel. The building looks pretty beaten up and everything is sort of grimy. Some of the towels were grey even though laundered. The staff is helpful and nice though."

"The only thing good is the water park. The breakfast was horrible and there were several roaches in the room. Seems all the money gets applied only to the water park."
