We were at the end of our Panama/Costa Rica trip and had actually just decided to cut it short because I was starting to feel sick. But we had this last hike to try out and I was just hoping both that I would feel well enough and also that our car would be able to make it back on the very steep gravel road back from the parking spot (after almost getting stuck around Monteverde earlier on the trip). As we’ve been getting used to we were first to arrive so we had this awesome place completely to ourselves for a little while in the morning before other tourists started to drop in. It really felt like a fairytale. (Oh, and the car made it back okay!) #nature #costarica #centralamerica #waterfalls

"Our stay at Vista Paraiso Lodge for New Year's was amazing. The view is super fantastic especially the sunet and the whole place is beautiful since sunrise, many birds singing. "The home was just as described. Steve is a great guy and very knowledgable and helpful. His trees and gardens are beautiful and edible fruits are a bonus. There is a store and bus stop just steps away. Very convenient. Stayed 3 weeks,lived like ticas and we hope to see our friend again next trip."

"At first the initial drive seemed very long, it is like 8 miles total, approx, but after driving it 12 times it got better/easier. And being so remote there are mucho other homes up there. Beautiful views to the oceanon the south, to the north, waterfalls and mountains."

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and I haven't seen that glow from here in years. 100% recommend. Clean, safe, friendly and Ecotica treats you like family. You will not regret it. "The staff made this vacation stay exceptional for us. The kindness went beyond what we could’ve imagined. The food here was better than the restaurants we’ve tried outside of the hotel. And the morning sunrise views were immaculate. The free breakfast included with the stay was great! And the monkeys swinging from tree to tree while eating was definitely exciting to watch. I highly recommend this stay if you’re in the area. "

"Our stay at Hotel Lirio was truly unforgettable! While it’s not a five-star hotel, the service made it feel like it was. Donald and Nicole were very helpful they treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The hotel has a charming hacienda-style vibe, with a beautiful pool right in the middle surrounded by lush gardens. My kids practically lived in the pool, and I loved relaxing nearby while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and the location was perfect for exploring the area while still feeling like a quiet retreat.
