"Friendly staff and good food"

"It was excellent and one of the nicest I have stayed in for the money. 1 small thing at the end which made me a little frustrated. upon checking out and waiting for the breakfast I could see there was no tomato's left. I looked around the corner and could see one of the chiefs leaning against the drinks unit chatting to the reception ladies whilst they worked away. When very politely asked the gent (Dyed Red hair) if there was any more and he slowly pushed himself off the unit whilst rolling his eyes as if I was an inconvenience and getting in the way of him chatting to the ladies. He proceeded to say I will see what I can do and disappeared for 5 minutes then finally came out of the kitchen and serving them into the bowl. He didn't acknowledge me or say there you go sir, just poured them and walked away. Its the little things in service that stick with customers, up until this point my experience had been fine and everyone was very pleasant and a real peaceful environment. "

"All the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. The building is beautiful and it’s no surprise that it’s grade 2 listed. We especially liked the entrance at what used to be the train station. "

"Beautiful large rooms with comfortable beds. Towel warmers and fans in the room. Large window to open to circulate air. Excellent breakfest. Highly recommend. Spa on site for relaxation."

"An excellent welcome, we were checked in quickly and in a friendly and helpful way. The room was fine, the bed very comfortable. No negative issues. Breakfast was reasonably priced and again the service was excellent. This is the second time we've stayed here and our experience has been positive both times."

"The staff were very friendly thankyou.It is a great place to stay for the piece hall,train station and other places of interest in Halifax.My room was spacious. It was a little bit noisy at night ,but not enough to keep me awake.Only comment,a hairdryer would of been good in the room.Would go back. Thankyou."

"The building is beautiful. High ceilings and original fixtures make this a special place to stay. Located in a great location near to transport, shops, restaurants and bars. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Shannon and the other staff are friendly and efficient and made our stay enjoyable. Food was tasty in the restaurant. Breakfast in morning was good and again the staff serving were friendly. The room had everything we needed and a fantastic view of the town hall. Comfy bed with nice cotton bedding and a large flat screen TV. We would stay here again if we are in the area. Very good value for money."
