"Very quiet hamlet near the river Avon estuary as it discharges into the English channel so very pretty setting. Close to Burgh Island which I could just see the top of from my upstairs bedroom window. Very plain inside the pub; lovely friendly staff; had a main evening meal, not particularly good, very dry fish pie which had been microwaved to death and the following day all three of us had a dicky stomach and the runs. Streptococci no doubt. Over cooked poached eggs for breakfast but...

"The area of Bantham is stunningly beautiful and also the other parts of the South Hams. We enjoyed our stay, but feel as a constructive critique, we felt the online listing portrayed a front of house, bottom apartment with garden. On arrival, although still pleasant, we found it was at the rear of the property and on enquiring We were told that the garden didn’t come with butter bay. So we were disappointed and felt the online advertising was a little misleading. However, the apartment was clean...
