"The house is comfortably sized for 6 adults. The fully furnished kitchen, BBQ Grill, and table with seating for 6 (up to 8) were perfect for cooking 1-2 meals on a daily basis. The bedrooms are normal for France; but the beds upstairs are a little small for 2 adults. Our visit was mid-July and while there is no A/C - the temps/breeze in the evenings and nights made for comfortable lounging/sleeping. "A lovely place to stay. Very friendly, very clean, great breakfasts - especially with Tom's useful hints about places to visit - and a lovely pool. Not under their control obviously, the only downside was the lack of restaurants around. But the kitchen facilities were brilliant, and the supermarket was only a short walk. The bus stop is really close, and the bike hire was great. A car would give you access to more eating options."

"Immanquable : la Rochelle ❤️. Puis Rochefort (arsenal et corderie), musée automobile Aunis, balade dans marais poitevin, Oleron par bateau et navettes bus gratuites. La Météo été 2023 très changeante ne nous a pas freinés dans notre découverte de la région. Le gîte est agréable, Dans une rue calme. Bien équipé et proche des commerces. Ce qui est appréciable. "Wir hatten zwei tolle Wochen im Haus von Helen und Didier. Wir waren zu fünft und hatten ausreichend Platz für uns. Das Haus ist mit sehr viel Liebe ubd Stil eingerichtet, wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und es fehlte uns an nichts. Die Lage hat uns gut gefallen. Zu Fuß erreichbar sind ein Supermarkt und 2 Bäcker. Wir haben viele Ausflüge gemacht und die Gegend erkundet. "The property is situated in the middle of a large industrial park. Very difficult to get to by public transport. No restaurants close by. Reception is only open until 8:00om and closed in the afternoon. The reception is very helpful. But for the price the room is clean and sufficient."
