"Quiet, traditional country hotel. Beautiful location, very helpful staff and a lovely stretch of river. Only thing that stopped me rating it as excellent was the slightly limited dinner menu- somewhat limited. Pay a little bit more for the deluxe rooms- well worth it."

"We had a really lovely family holiday, three adults, two children and a dog in this exceptionally well maintained, spotlessly clean and spacious house. The only drawback was that the house was on the main road between Dumfries and Kilmarnock so there was no escaping the noise of traffic. However a 10 min drive brought us into Dumfries, the home of that great poet, Robert Burns 🌹 and which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring. Also recommend visiting Caerlaverock Castle for an afternoon out. ...
