"Good location, just outside the busy Siracuse. Close to the beach and with good options for restaurants only 4 km away. Staff friendly and helpful, confortable bed and plenty of parking."
"Perla del Sole is a small, friendly B&B, though with a hotel-style reception, in the resort of Arenella, 8km from Syracuse. The hotel manager (who spoke excellent English) greeted us warmly and provided plenty of helpful information, such as maps, local restaurants, transport information, etc. The rooms were comfortable with all the essentials, including air conditioning (definitely needed at night, as it stays hot after sundown in Sicily) and free wi-fi, and were well cleaned daily. "We were really looking forward to our stay but unfortunately, this hotel did not meet expectations. For the price we paid, we were surprised and disappointed to find that there was no Wi-Fi in the room and the air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly. When we brought it up with the staff, we were told the problem was on our end — not the property’s. Overall, a frustrating experience that fell short of the standard we anticipated. Also I was there the day of my birthday- no acknowledgment...

I rented the suite which was very spacious and full of 18th century charm.
The host was very informative at check in, explaining how to navigate the city center. All staff were wonderfully friendly.
Breakfast was delicious each morning and the hotel was very clean and well maintained.
A highlight was a private tour of the main palazzo, built in 1726. "

"Every traveller in the last 4 years or so will have noticed the insanely abusive increase in worldwide accomodation pricing often doubling or tripling what rooms cost 5 years ago. After 20 days of travel between turkey and sicily i would say this hotel was by far the greatest value for the money spent. Impeccably curated in every detail, elegant decoration. Comfortable rooms and cleanliness. The restaurant is great too. I would stay here again every time i return to Siracusa. Highly recommend. "

"Terrible experience. We were two couples and booked 2 double rooms. 2 hours before checking in we received a link to go to a different a accommodation location than the one we booked with no explanation. It was a residence not a hotel. No Reception at new location, nowhere to buy a coffee or water (not even a vending machine), beach was 15 minutes drive by car unlike the hotel we booked. Breakfast was served in a run-down coffee shop15 minutes drive from residence and food selection was dismal. Luckily we had a car. Furniture in balcony consisted of a 2 rusty chairs and table. Defective TV in room only worked a few minutes then stopped. During our stay we noted that other guests at the Residence also experienced the same scam that we suffered. Shame on the Management."
