"The Generator hostel is across the road from the train station which was very convenient for us. Check in was slow as there we many people checking in at the same time, rooms are small but clean, bathroom is tiny but still useable. Breakfast was 9 euro, there are laundry facilities for 6 euro. There are plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. For our 1 night stay this hostel is perfect "

"Business trip to Hamburg. Good location for the “hustle and bustle”. Staff on arrival were great (two guys). Staff on departure (female) sadly not so good as I tried to book a taxi to the airport and she wasn’t particularly helpful. I ended up walking down the street and ordered an Uber. "

"Ideal for staying for 1-2 nights; if sharing washrooms/showers bothers you then I wouldn't go here. Their cleanliness depends on who used them previously. Some locks to some bathrooms were broken. The room itself was alright and clean. We had some issues with our pillow cases but the staff was prompt in taking care of it when we pointed it out. Overall an okay stay."

"We had never stayed at a hostel before, but had a very positive experience. We did have to share the bathroom with 6 other people, but that is the nature of this type of facility. We were able to do our laundry there and enjoyed the room that we were able to stay in. "
