Manila Cove Majesty is a 2100 sq ft custom home with panoramic views of Humboldt Bay and the foothills of the Trinity Alps sprinkled with a few city lights in the background for good measure. Outdoors, a cedar fence encloses the property with 100 yards of bay shoreline and there’s also a covered deck, a brick patio, and a propane BBQ on the bayside. Indoors, you'll find interior balconies over the comfortable living room with warming, wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is also fully equipped with a Bosch stove and other appliances.

Manila Cove Majesty is located just a short drive from Manila Dunes Recreation Area and miles of open beaches. Samoa Cookhouse and Lumber museum is just two miles away, while downtown Arcata, with its shops, restaurants, and Cal Poly Humboldt, is only four miles from this rental. The house is also located in the very heart of redwood country with easy drives to National and State Parks with ancient groves of redwoods and some of the tallest trees in the world. Manila Cove Arcata CA
Very relaxing, secluded place to spend a week. The nearby towns of Arcata and Eureka were charming with many dining options. Redwood forests were just an hour or so away in every direction. Beach access was less than a mile away. Exceptional vacation spot.

My family of four stayed four nights. My two teens LOVED this place and didn't even turn the TV on during our stay, opting instead to play games, explore, or enjoy the views on the property - which are plentiful. We were in and out on day trips to see amazing forests and beaches. We usually had breakfast and dinner at the house and lunched while we were out. The beds were super comfortable in the master and downstairs room. Loved the oversized tubs up and downstairs, as well as the oversize shower in the master. Laundry machines were nice and easy. The kitchen has everything you need with nice enough or very nice quality. Owners generously have other miscellaneous items here and there to help you avoid running to the store (like band-aid, or tape, etc....) We loved having all the tourist pamphlets available with the house information. It was rainy, windy, and sunny over the course of four day stay and the house was comfortable and the beautiful views were appreciated every day. Driving into the neighborhood, we had our doubts, but the property was very private and super nice. All the home instructions were precise and easy. When I say the house was clean, I mean immaculate. No cobwebs, dust, hair, ANYWHERE. Very pleased and would stay again.

Quiet and relaxing
The property was awesome. The house is a stand out in a very simple neighborhood. Given how the landscape is set up, we felt very secluded and peaceful in the house. The kitchen was really well appointed. The only downside was the beds, they were extremely uncomfortable. We would come back in a heart beat if it was not for the beds.

I rely on honest reviews and I believe in giving them so that if something is important to you, you know about it, if it's not important then it doesn't matter. House, location, cleanliness all five star. Not 5 star: *Cookware/pots/pans/cooking utensils, not barely acceptable. Coating worn off of pans/skillets, no cookie sheet, Plastic pancake turners burned badly on the ends, couldn't scrape an egg off of skillet if you wanted to. if you plan on doing much cooking, you will be disappointed. Only 1 TV in whole house, and its in smallest room. Furniture def needs upgraded, the couch/chairs in living room are awful, not comfortable at all. Something owners probably can't do anything about? Barking neighbors dog every morning around 6-7 a.m. and again in the evening. Views of bay were awesome, lots of seals to watch, easy in /easy out. Yes I would stay again.

Beautiful and Peaceful
We originally picked this location as it was close to our son's house. It just doesn't fail to wow, both in terms of the home and the location. This time we ate in every night and the kitchen is perfectly stocked with all the pans etc that we needed. Watching the seals, egrets etc in the bay is so enjoyable, watching their movements change with the tide. This has definitely been our best stay in the Arcata/Eureka area.

This place was wonderful. Very open and spacious. Everything was clean and it was very well stocked. Many rentals have limited kitchen supplies, this one had everything we possibly needed and we cooked in every meal for our week stay. Many reviews listed the neighborhood as "sketchy" but it was fine. Just what you would expect from an older waterfront neighborhood. Would love it if there was a king size bed in at least one of the rooms as there is plenty of room for it.

Beautiful Bay View
This is a beautiful home in a stunning location. We were given the gate and door codes well prior to our stay so access was no problem. The view from the home and yard is amazing. Watching the seals and birds out in the bay was so nice, and having binoculars provided was a wonderful touch. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and the ice maker worked beautifully so no need to buy ice. The kitchen table was large enough to enjoy board games. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and it was nice for each to have its own bath with an additional powder room off the kitchen. TV Cable was a very nice feature especially since we were there over Super Bowl Sunday. (I did send a message to the property manager prior to booking to be sure and they got back to me fairly promptly). My only nit is that, with the TV upstairs in a small room, it is not a good gathering place to watch and, if someone is using it as a bedroom with the sleeper sofa, it is even less convenient. Of course, with that beautiful view, TV watching is most likely going to be at a minimum. Overall, a lovely stay.

Relaxing Retreat
Great stay at this home with my husband and two teenagers. Comfortable, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. It was a nice launch pad for the redwood national park, and we enjoyed watching the birds in the bay and relaxing with a good book in the backyard. The only drawback was that Arcata and the surrounding neighborhood were sketchy. The house is fenced in with a gate, and we were fine once we were ensconced within the gated area. This would be a great place for a writing or yoga retreat- very serene and relaxing with beach access just across the street.

Great for a getaway
We stayed with another couple for a nice getaway. The house had everything we wanted. It was interesting how the tide changed our view of the Bay. At low tide it looks like a big mud pit and at high tide it felt like we were on a big lake. Many different bird species that were quite entertaining. The house was very clean and we liked the split area with one bedroom down and two up. Close to both Arcata and Eureka so shopping, eating, and people watching was easy to do, although we spent most of out time at the house. We would definately recommend this property, and plan to stay again next year.

Great place for virtual work/school getaway
We were finding we needed a break and decided to head to California for a change of pace. We were concerned about traveling, but as soon as we arrived the cleanliness of the Manila house eased our fears. It was a great place to accommodate privacy for 3 different people working and doing virtually. The view was wonderful and it is just a short drive to get to the beaches during our breaks. Wonderful change of pace.

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view.
All in all this property was just what we needed. Secure and private with a spectacular view. If I could have stayed a month here I absolutely would have. My only minor complaints are that there was only one piece of wood on the wood pile for the fireplace and there was some pink mildew in the master shower. Nothing earth shattering but for the price per night as well as the sizable cleaning fee I would have expected the shower to be mildew free. We would definitely stay here again.
