"Nothing bad to say about the staff.... That said, this place was very dirty. I don't think they really ever clean it. Some examples: The floor was so dirty our feet were brown. The walls had goop on them The lamp had a layer of dust that showed they never cleaned it. I would rather stay in my car than here again. "

"Let me start by saying how impressed we were with this Super 8 Motel's plumbing system. It is a rare thing for a budget Motel to have both excellent water pressure AND temperature control. If you closed your eyes while in the shoower, you could almost imagine a much more luxurous hotel. But this Arcata Super 8 is a budget stop in every other regard and is not pretending to be anything else. I respect that solid decision to keep it real. "Wasn't informed when you stay for more than one night your room wasn't cleaned nor were you furnished new towels, wash clothes, etc. unless you made a request for same at the office. The people staying in the room next to ours spent most of the time in their car smoking. Didn't know their was a hundred dollar room deposit upon checking in. The guest should be informed of these things up front and not find out after the fact. After saying all these I would stay a Moterl 6 again."
