"Authentically shabby chic chateau, an experience you will never forget. Excellent place for a large group (we were 12 most of the fortnight) and perfect for eating drinking and talking late into the night. The pool is good and needed in the summer (38 degrees while we were there). Despite the large indoor space it was the outdoor living that we particularly enjoyed. Not a place for people who want modern conveniences, but if you want authentic old french this is perfect."

"Run down hotel double charged me at check out and did not respond to my emails asking for a refund. At check out the elderly receptionist was confused and could not see that I already pre-paid via hotels.com. So I was forced to pay 680 euro again. The lady promised to check with hotels.com the same day and email me. Now 3 weeks later, I still got no refund. Or any responds. "In a fabulous location, right next to the walled town. Accommodation basic but had everything you needed for a short stay. We were able to borrow a kettle and use the laundry facilities. Cooking facilities not very good and reception closed between 12 and 3 so no check in during these times. Reception staff helpful but limited language. Parking available at extra cost."
