"Great camping option just outside MT Cook national park. We stayed in cabin with three bunk beds. Communal kitchen was fun to meet other campers especially students and families. Shower house was big and plenty of hot water. Much more affordable the hotels in the park. "

"Very quiet considering the number of rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Small, but enough space. Comfy bed. Heated tiles in bathroom were so lovely after a long day hiking in the snow.
The laundry was a reasonable walk and a little hard to find, even with directions. Limited food options especially Monday and Tuesday nights, so be organised or prepared to pay $$$ for dinner at the Hermitage. It was good food but expensive. Dinner at the Chamois onsite was good food and reasonable priced, but only open Wednesday to Sunday. "
"A great place to stay. What they do they do well. Very comfortable. We stayed 3 nights. We cooked dinner each now night. Although there wasn’t anyone around we could call someone in charge if needed. Room was clean and tidy. Heater worked a treat and was on when we arrived at check in which is a nice welcoming touch as still cold outside. "
"We were super-comfortable in our small suite with everything we needed for a thoroughly enjoyable 3 night stay.
There were wonderful views out on to the Fox range mountains, and only a 5min walk from the excellent and very atmosphetic Cook and Saddle cafe.
Lake Matheson with its memorable rainforest walk, the mirrored reflections of Mtns Tasman and Cook, and the welcoming cafe offering excellent fare to eat and drink - as well as a local artist's gallery - was a real bonus.
Thanks, Andy, for a rest stay!"
"Fantastic spacious rooms with plush carpet and well equiped kitchen. Couch was huge and comfy. Beds comfortable with beautiful large windows, mountain and hill views. Easy access to glacier lookout and lake. "
"They have a big kitchen for self cooking. Fridges for food , stove and microwave. Well equip with pots and utensils. View around the hotel is awesome. "
