"Nice stay in the lakes with the dog. Great staff at the hotel, good breakfast and extensive drinks selection. Room was very small and pokey but otherwise ok and fairly comfortable. We were on the top floor and there is no lift, so would not be suitable for those with restricted mobility. "

"Excellent guest house. We stayed in the king-sized room which was decently sized and had a recently refurbished bathroom. The room was spacious, airy, and bright. The place was lovely and we met one of the owners, Steve, who was an absolutely excellent host, incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely interested in his guests. His delightful conversations and willingness to share invaluable local tips truly enhanced our experience. The breakfast which was included in the reservation was delicious and tasty. The rooms came with kettle and tea bags with milk pots and sugar. There was free parking in nearby car park which was 2 mins walk away from the hotel. "

"Room was a good size, upgraded from what we booked which was a nice surprise, we arrived early and checked if the room was ready which it was so again this was a bonus! No staff on site that we saw but didn’t really need anyone, free to come and go as we pleased and the property felt secure and safe we even left the patio doors open to allow fresh air in, perfect location. Quiet spot in walking distance of Ambleside pubs would definitely return. "
