"The property was lovely, very relaxing and quaint. The only problem with the weekend was actually locating the property, the post code isn't recognised and the property really is in the woods, none of the locals had heard of it when we asked at pubs / shops etc. A hard copy in the post with few a photos of landmarks en-route (pub, car parks, entrance to country lanes etc) to form a pictorial guide would help tremendously. Note the mobile reception in the area is quite iffy, print off all the instructions given by Sue the host.Also, when using the Vrbo app, the number / link given to contact the host said not recognized. All the above taken into consideration, the property and area really are worth a visit."

"Our family could not grasp the picturesque little cottage that we were going to stay in for three nights! They were over the moon!Hosts were so helpful and responsive!A few things to know:The road leading to the cottage is soooo narrow and windy. Be prepared to drive this 2 mile route over and over again. Also I just feel like for the amount each night costs at this cottage that a least a few more amenities should be included. Would wants to go out and buy toilet paper on their vacation after paying 400-500/night? Whether staying one night or six you still only get one half roll of toilet paper for your whole stay. I feel like this is a super inexpensive upgrade to at least give one spare roll per bathroom and the same for paper towels. Other than these minor inconveniences we highly recommend this cottage for a perfect Lake District stay."

"A fantastic cottage is beautiful and extensive grounds. The cottage is well appointed, well presented and has plenty of space.The only issue we had was the television not working and reporting via VRBO failed because it was forwarding the query to the wrong Cottages.COM email address. In hindsight the folder at the property had direct phone details to CumbriaCottages in Ambleside who manage the premises; we should have called them."
