Felt like we underpaid for what was delivered compared to more expensive options in the city and other stops on our trip. "

We went for breakfast at 730 and there wasnt much, old salad, a little ham, salami and cheese, a plate of watermelon and breads and crackers. There was a machine to give orange juice and milk, but it was out of orange juice. As we were leaving, about 810, a guy came un ad added more, better looking food (he was putting out yogert as we left).
I would still recommend the hotel for the room, but the breakfast was...

Food and drink is more expensive than the UK or Nederlands with a typical pint of Guinness costing £10! Watch out for the toll roads (several white cameras) around Alesund and dont be surprised if your hire car company comes back with extra charges

"Very nice staff at the check-in desk even though we arrived late at night, helped us to figure out the sightseeing locations and driving routes. Gave us heads-up of closed roads and guidance for ferry reservation. Really appreciated her help! The hotel location was with beautiful viewing of Fjord, located nearby Euro road in quiet countryside, spacious dining room and nice breakfast. Very nice experience traveling by car driving. "
