"Excellent two night stay in a local village pub. Quirky and traditional all rolled into one. Staff, food and room was very good. Staff were very pleasant. Food was wholesome and hearty. Lots of walks in the area. Also some very interesting history. Definitely recommend 🌟🌟🌟Thankyou"

"On arrival at the Hawk Inn I was greeted in a very polite and friendly manner. Booking in was extremely simple, I love the express booking in before arrival. My room was lovely, clean, warm and comfortable. Nice touches such as mini fridge for drinking water and some fresh milk instead of little milk jiggers. "I used to live in the area so I’ve always wanted to stay here but never had a reason till now. It’s absolutely lovely, the amenities are fantastic and it’s so convenient. All the staff are wonderful. "

"Stairs to the rooms were quite steep but the room was great. Comfortable bed and lovely to have fresh milk and homemade cookies. Unfortunately the shower could do with some attention as water was really slow to run away.Good selection at breakfast, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Could do with either cleaning or replacing the carpet on stairs and landing as it’s very stained and does them no favours in terms of appearance. Overall great stay and would recommend."
