Our son is a student at MTU, so we are in the area numerous times a year. We have stayed at various other properties (both Airbnb’s and other hotels), but Independence Stay has become our go-to spot. The property is always immaculately clean, modern, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly. The rooms are comfortable, with just enough kitchen supplies...

"Cabin is located by the lake. It has really nice homey vibe. The bed is comfy. The only issue was a lot flies get inside the cabin. "
