"We just spent a night here and the Convent is beautiful. Lovely surroundings, nice pool and a lovely comfy room opening out onto a lovely shared balcony with comfy seats. Breakfast was good and our waitress was super nice and attentive. Getting a local taxi in the evening was tricky so just be aware that the well known online ride share company does have taxis in the Hunter Valley! "

"The rooms are very spacious and overlook the surrounding bushland. The restaurant and bar are excellent, and breakfast is very good. There is a lot of walking space around the property and lead to a very nice pool. Great place for families or just two people."

, lawn games, great food coffee beverage and lovely staff. Beware check in if you do not have a physical plastic card (it’s 2024 resort!). We didn’t. Had paid in full upfront. Don’t accept digital cards, wouldn’t put deposit on card, wanted cash! Was 30 mins of ringing banks and credit card company to get full card number before we could check in. Not ideal after a road trip with a 1 and 3 year old. Thought at one point we would have to go...

"Great spot to explore the Hunter Valley from. Beautiful grounds, great area to relax by the pool. Breakfast on site would have been fantastic or a breakfast basket in the room but other than that a perfect spot for a short break with our dog. "
