"Really friendly staff. We couldn't check in early - which we knew in advance - but were able to leave our bags, and they were in our room waiting for us when we did check in. We got the vaulted room we had requested in advance. It was cosy, clean, and comfortable - even got tips for where to buy the pillows they use as they were lovely! Would definitely recommend and will use again next time we visit York. "

"Very good check-in. Staff were helpful with directions and a map of the area. They really tried to make us feel welcome, and succeeded. Quaint little room was a lot of fun and all amenities were thoughtful (umbrellas provided in the room for example) and comfy. Breakfast was reasonably priced and had lots of good choices. Surprisingly quiet at night - they had a patio nearby but we didn't hear a thing from it and enjoyed restful sleep. A great place and we were glad we stayed there."

"The Old Coach House is absolutely excellent. Our room was spacious, had everything we could want and all of a very high quality. It was warm, comfy and looked great too, with huge original wooden beams, large luxurious armchairs and tasteful decor. The breakfasts were super too; lots of choice and tasty fresh fruit like berries or pineapple and choice of juices. Home made granola pots featured if you wanted a luxury treat. "Beautiful little studio apartment. Very clean, nice bedding, comfy mattress. Elegant decor and great bathroom. All amenities you would expect. So central - a bit noisy so you will need to close windows. But you are central on the Headrow so it’s what you would expect. I would recommend and will be back. "
